"My name is Richard Fogg; I have been insulin dependent diabetic since 1968. A lot has changed with research and products for diabetics. It has been a struggle over many years trying to keep my A1C at good levels. I started on the insulin pump in 2001, and then I began to get a handle on it. There is a misconception as a diabetic is to give up and stay away from sugar products and substitute them with artificial sweeteners. My life is more then just sugar control, it is about controlling daily carbs. My wife grew up with diabetes with her family; we both take it very seriously by researching and experimenting in different ways with an open mind. Honey has been around forever, but it was considered a stay away from sugar in my eyes. My wife and I try to go to different fairs to check out mostly crafts. We talked for a long time about her husband being a diabetic, which was a big reason she started her business making jams sweetened with honey. We left that day with a lot of knowledge and products. I checked with my doctors and dietician they all agree honey was a great choice for sweetener in moderation like anything else, not in overload. We have been following and using her products. We also try to spread the word about her sweet products. My wife and I have become good friends with them."
